PAINTINGS of Malvern, Upton and Ledbury are on display in the 113th annual exhibition by Malvern Art Club.

The exhibition, at the Sir Barry Jackson Room in Grange Road, features work from many of the group's 90 members.

The club, believed to be the oldest art club in England, was formed in 1887 to allow former students of the Malvern School of Art to keep in touch.

Art club social secretary Ros Rowberry said the exhibition featured some of the club's best work.

"The works on display show the breadth and depth of the talent and skills of our members," she said. "It really is well worth a visit."

The club is always looking for new members, who are required to display three examples of their work. Anyone interested should call chairman Ted Fahey on 01684 575971.

The exhibition is open daily from 10.30am-4pm until Sunday, September 3.
