SIR - Regarding your story headline "speed limit on A38" I travel this road every day to work and it has been a bad accident waiting to happen.
The road is a death trap. Many a time I have been overtaken on the bends, tailgated to try and make me either speed up or pull over. Vans are a pain but also the middle-aged drivers mainly male who may be in company cars.
The speed limits through Severn Stoke, Clifton and Kempsey are totally ignored. The police are never about to monitor this. In the past I have written to the Chief Constable about this but to no avail. So do we live in hope that after the terrible fatality on Thursday, August 17 that something will be done?
JAN WIGGINS,
Severn Stoke.
