FIFTEEN children investigated what creepy-crawlies and wonderful wildlife lurk beneath the surface of a pond at The Pump House Environment Centre in Barbourne Worcester.

The children eagerly dipped into the Duckworth Pond with nets and were given charts to help identify their finds at the Friday event.

It was the last event of The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust's successful summer holiday activity programme before the start of school.

Education officer Philippa Witton said: "We have been incredibly fortunate with the weather and the children have thoroughly enjoyed a range of activities from bug hunting to jewellery making.

"We had several families returning for different events and look forward to seeing them again."
