SCHOOLS and colleges have once again proved they can be "sew" creative during Forge Mill's annual contemporary textiles competition, sponsored by the Charles Henry Foyle Trust.
This year's goal was to create a textile piece on the theme of "Maelstrom".
The pieces include handmade felt, creative T-shirt designs and exquisite embroidery.
The winner of the £2,000 award was Liz Brooke Ward from Stroud, Gloucestershire, for her work, On to the Eastward.
Christine Connelly, from Morayshire, was awarded the technical excellence award of £500 for Order and Chaos.
The two outstanding work book awards of £250 went to Claire Baker for War Torn and Karen McCarthy for Joined by a Thread.
The exhibition runs until October 8 and is free to Redditch residents on Wednesdays.
