A FUND-RAISER with the Worcester branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has been honoured for her decades of service.
Pat Bradford, of Beckett Drive, off Ombersley Road, Worcester, has helped raise more than £100,000 since 1970 in her role as souvenir sales secretary.
Princess Alexandra, who is the Queen's cousin, presented Mrs Bradford with the RNLI's Gold Badge at a ceremony at Barbican Hall, London. The 75-year-old said: "It has been great fun. You do meet all sorts of people. I've got to the stage now where carrying boxes of souvenirs is too difficult.
"But I'm still on the branch committee which is all fund-raising work. The ceremony was wonderful. We had lunch first then the presentation."
