TALKING of our current rulers, car clamping fits in very nicely with New Labour's campaign of terror against the populace.
Clamping first appeared during the 1980s. Back then it was just regarded as another Tory-style earner. It was free enterprise taken one logical step further - we clamp, you pay an obscenely high ransom.
Like so many other injustices, the present government allowed it to continue. This legalised extortion should be brought to an end without delay and its practitioners sent to the galleys.
