IT will be "follow the signs to Malvern" this weekend when the Three Counties Show takes place on its picturesque site in the shadow of the hills.

About 100,000 visitors are expected to visit the Three Counties showground during the three-day show.

Starting on Friday, this year's event is being billed as an extravaganza of farming, food, country pursuits and exciting displays.

The organisers are already buoyed by a highly promising weather forecast for annual event

Worcester News weatherman Paul Damari is predicting a warm and sunny weekend. "It should be ideal for the Three Counties Show," he added.

Among the celebrities on the 70-acre showsite tomorrow will be television chef James Martin, who will be performing his culinary wizardry in the cookery theatre.

Shadow environment minister Peter Ainsworth will be outlining the Conservatives green agenda at a breakfast meeting of the Country Land and Business Association.

As well as competitions for top livestock and a host of other farming activities, there will be motoring exhibits, sports attractions, food and wine halls and more than 700 packed tradestands.

On Saturday evening there will be a professional "lookalikes" pop concert including star doubles Cher, Rod Stewart and Robbie Williams.

On Sunday evening the Three Counties show ends with motorcycle grass-track racing in the main arena,

just as it used to several

years ago.
