IMP-like characters entertained crowds of shoppers in Worcester’s city centre this weekend.
The duo, called the Whizzers, brought their unique style of street entertainment to Pump Street and Friar Street on Saturday. The pair, who performed gliding dances in their own whizzing style, were invited to the city by the Worcester Business Improvement District (BID), the new business led-organisation which is funding a range of projects including the city’s street entertainment.
Worcester BID manager Adrian Field said it was an enjoyable day.
“People really warmed to them and there was a lot of people out and about shopping who got to see them,” he said. “It was great to see the reaction to them.
“We are trying to improve the quality and frequency of street entertainment in the city centre and they certainly did well.”
