GREEN-FINGERED visitors to Hanbury Hall were able to pick up some top tips from National Trust experts at its Meet The Gardeners day.
Staff and volunteers were on hand to talk about their work and answer questions at the historic estate near Droitwich.
There was a rare opportunity to see the hundreds of plants inside the walled garden and obtain information on how using peat-free compost can benefit the environment. Visitors could also quiz the experts who look after the garden's colourful parterre.
Head gardener Neil Cook said: "The event was a chance for our visitors to find out more about the plants we grow and the gardening methods that we use.
"The gardens are still ablaze with summer colour, so it is a great time of year to come and have a look around."
