A DAZZLING sea of bluebells was enjoyed by dozens of walkers at Shrawley Woods near Stourport-on-Severn over the bank holiday weekend. The annual bluebell walks organised by Shrawley Walkers were as popular as ever with the weather conditions over the past few weeks having served up a bumper crop of flowers in full bloom for the May Day holiday. Homemade teas, a plant stall and treasure trail for the children was also organised by volunteers at at Shrawley Village Hall. There was also an art exhibition in St Mary’s Church. Walkers can make the most of Shrawley Woods with a number of walks which feature beautiful areas of lime and chestnut coppice where bluebells and other wild flowers are flourishing.
