A CRISP manufacturer in Herefordshire has launched a limited edition range of party political potato crisp flavours to mark the general election.
More than 2,000 people from across the country voted on which flavours and tastes they would associate with the UK’s main political parties. The results of the poll have now inspired the ingredients for a new election snack range including Cameron’s Crunchies (Eton mess), Clegg’s Cocktail (hummous and roasted vegetables) and Gordon’s Gourmet (scotch egg and brown sauce). With many voters still undecided, chefs at Tyrrells Potato Chips in Leominster have been working on a hung parliament flavour – a fusion of hotpot, pheasant and lentils. There are 500 limited edition packs available from tyrrellspotatochips.co.uk.
