THERE was a good attendance at our April meeting in spite of quite a few apologies.
Julie, our president, presented Lilian Wheeler, one of our longest serving members, with a bouquet of orchids to celebrate her special birthday, and we all wished her many happy returns.
Our talk was by Judy Robinson from Kingfisher WI who brought along two colleagues. Judy also brought what she called was “rubbish “ which turned out to be discs, dominos and children’s books – these she turned into beautiful handcraft, wall hangings, necklaces and handbags.
She produced an exquisite birthday card with flowers which she kindly gave as a raffle prize.
The vote of thanks was given by Ann Crowther, and teas served by Deanna Curtis and Ann Devereux.
We meet on the third Wednesday of every month, and if anyone wishes to join us please do so.
