A HIDDEN camera is giving nature-lovers the opportunity to observe baby birds in the wild.
The tiny ‘Nest Box Cam’ has been installed in the nest of two blue tits near to the Worcester Woods Countryside Centre in Spetchley.
The camera is linked to a plasma screen inside the centre so visitors can watch the wild birds as they make their nest, look after their 12 eggs and care for their young once they have hatched.
Joanne Barrow, community greenspace officer for Worcestershire County Council, said: “The hidden camera gives visitors a fascinating insight into the lives of these little birds as they make their nest, lay and incubate their eggs until they eventually hatch.
“The tiny camera means that it is not intrusive for the birds and this has proved extremely popular with visitors in the past. It really is incredible to watch and we hope people will come and see the development of this family of birds for themselves.”
