A SCHOOL has a won £1,500 storage equipment for bicycles and scooters.
A cyclepod was installed at Norton Juxta Kempsey CE First School in Littleworth, near Worcester, just in time for its year four pupils’ cycling proficiency test. The cyclepod will provide storage for up to eight bicycles and eight scooters and teachers hope it will help the school in its drive to encourage pupils and their families to ride.
Headteacher Julia Dean said: “I entered a competition in Headteacher Update magazine and our entry was picked from 250 schools across the UK. We are keen to encourage cycling to school as a means of supporting the environment and the health of our pupils.”
