WITH spring well and truly here, a charity shop is offering people the chance to sponsor a flower.

At the Daisychain Benevolent Fund clothing and book stores in Bromyard Road, St John’s, people can drop in a pay £1 to sponsor a paper daisy which will then decorate the shops’ windows.

Staff are hoping the cheery gesture will boost awareness about Daisychain’s two chosen charities, the Midlands Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support. Susan Page, deputy manager, said: “Everything is starting to brighten so this is just a small way of raising awareness and bringing some cheer into our shops’ windows at the same time.”

The flower sponsorship drive is also running at the stores at 74 Barnards Green, in Malvern, and 63 Bridge Street, in Evesham.
