FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a fire thought to have started after power cables fell onto a row of conifers.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue service received a call to reports that 100m of smouldering conifers at Great Witley at 12.44pm today.
A spokesman from the service said firefighters were dampening down the fire while officers from Central Networks had isolated an 11,000 volts supply.
The A443 Worcester road has been closed both ways between the A451 Stourport Road and the B4197.
