CYCLISTS of all ages and abilities are being invited to take part in a family fun ride around Worcester.
Transition Worcester and the city council have organised the 13-mile ride on Sunday, June 27.
The route will take cyclists from Gheluvelt Park, Barbourne, through Diglis, St Peter’s, Warndon and Northwick and ending back at the park, where they can stay and picnic.
The ride, which starts at 10am, is expected to take cyclists at least two hours to complete. There will be a pitstop halfway around.
The event is part of National Bike Week, and the organisers hope it will inspire people to ditch four wheels for two.
Organiser Sarah Evans, of Transition Worcester, said: “People get in their cars and nip into town without giving it a second thought.
“Yet hopping on a bike could get you there faster and cheaper and give you a healthy boost.
“We want everyone to come along and find out how cycling can become a part of everyday life.”
