TWO youngsters have bright futures ahead of them after being selected as tennis stars of tomorrow.
Georgina Cupper and Joshua Hadley, both aged nine, have been chosen to take part in the Lawn Tennis Association’s Regional Talent ID programme.
The scheme selects the best youngsters across the Midlands, focusing on physicality and technique, and then tracks their progress at their parent clubs.
Cupper, who attends King’s Hawford School, and Hadley, from Perdiswell Primary, both compete at Worcester Tennis Academy, in Northwick Close, under the tutelage of head coach Jon Bradshaw.
The duo are two of 15 children picked from across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Warkwickshire and Staffordshire.
Bradshaw said: “They are training hard and competing in tournaments all over the region. They are both very good prospects and have been county champions.”
