Toddlers Thomas Finch, Clara Raxster, James Bury and Holly Spencer, above, dressed up as bears for their very first teddy bears’ picnic party to celebrate the first anniversary of a Worcester nursery. St Joseph’s Catholic Nursery, Warndon, caters for just seven children aged nought to three years. They took along a teddy or their favourite toy to nursery and dressed up as bears with home-made ears and painted noses. There was a parade through the school followed by party games, such as musical bumps, pass the parcel and the children were read We’re Going On A Bear Hunt.
After all the games and lunch the children settled down to a well-deserved nap. The nursery opened in May 2009 and has had a very successful first year integrating with St Joseph’s Catholic Primary and Pre-School.
