A TEENAGER who died in a motorbike crash has been named by police.

Carl Rhys Cocks, aged 19, of Lansdowne Close, Malvern was pronounced dead at the scene of the smash on the B4424 Powick to Old Hills road, Callow End, at 4.40pm on Saturday.

His white Yamaha TZR125 was in collision with a red Fiat Punto and a black Vauxhall Astra, both travelling in the opposite direction towards Callow End.

South Worcestershire Police are trying to trace a red Volkswagen Transporter, which was not involved in the collision but was being overtaken by the motorcycle when the collision occurred and whose driver did not stop at the scene.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to the incident – or anyone who saw any of the vehicles being driven a few minutes beforehand. Information can be given on 0300 333 3000, quoting 636S/260610, or - anonymously – to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
