Playday gets a big thumbs-up from youngsters

A CITY community centre enjoyed a day of fun activities for kids as part of National Playday 2010.

Lyppard Grange Community Centre in Warndon Villages, Worcester, held a jam-packed day of activities with its partner Lavender Children’s Centre in Warndon.

The centre was filled with bouncy castles, inflatable slides, pool tables and tunnels.

Children aged two to 10 could also enjoy musical instruments as well as making their own creations in the craft room. Jenny Fuller, one of the organisers, said: “It was a huge success.

“We have never done it before and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.”

More than 150 children attended the event.
