How to help fight heart disease
A SHOPPING centre in Worcester is helping to fight heart disease.
Cathedral Plaza Shopping Centre is calling on people to join the BIG Donation campaign by donating high-quality goods, which will be sold on in BHF shops to raise money to help fight the UK’s biggest killer.
The centre will hold its BIG events on Fridays and Saturdays between Friday, September 3, until Saturday, September 18, when visitors can bring in items such as clothing, shoes, accessories, books, toys and bric-a-brac. People can even donate unwanted furniture and electrical items by arranging for it to be collected for free by calling 0844 412 5000.
Centre manager John Kendrick said: “This is a great opportunity to have a good sort-out at home in the knowledge that all your donated items will go to an excellent cause. Two hundred thousand people a year in the UK die from heart disease, which is why it is so important for us to host this event and give everyone a chance to get involved.”
Take your donations to the dropoff point next to Café Aroma.
