FIREFIGHTERS have managed to control a large factory fire near Stourport
The fire is at Hard Anodising Ltd on the Firs Industrial Estate, off Oldington Lane, between Stourport and Kidderminster.
The initial call came through shortly before 8am this morning with a request for four fire appliances but this was quickly increased to eight.
Two crews from Kidderminster, plus crews from Stourport, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Upton and two from the West Midlands area are attending with the EPU (Environmental Protection Unit) from Evesham, the CSU (Command Support Unit) from Malvern and USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) also proceeding.
The 30m by 100m factory unit is not thought to have been occupied at the time and there have been no reports of any injuries.
