A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital following a crash with a car yesterday afternoon.
The 23-year-old motorcyclist suffered a fractured arm, a serious hand injury and back and neck pain in the incident, which happened on the A456 in Lye Head, Bewdley, at around 12.15pm.
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and a land ambulance attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The motorcyclist, a 23 year old man, had suffered a nasty fracture to his arm, a serious hand injury and neck and back pain in the collision.
“Crews administered pain relief to the man before assessing, treating and dressing his serious wounds and fracture.
"The man was immobilised with a neck collar, spinal board and arm splint before being flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, the Regions specialist trauma centre, in less than 12 minutes where to receive further treatment for his serious injuries.
“No one else was injured in the crash.”
