MORE than 100 people from the smallest congregations in the diocese of Worcester joined together to worship as one.
The 150-strong crowd gathered at the Three Counties Showground on Monday, August 30, to worship as one church during BigLittle Church. The event, organised by the chaplaincy for agriculture and rural life, was an opportunity for all those who worship every Sunday with a handful of people to come together as a much bigger group to celebrate their faith.
The communion service was led by the Right Revd David Walker, Bishop of Dudley, and the children in the congregation worked together during the service to produce the altar cloth which illustrated the world God created.
After the service, people shared a picnic lunch and the event ended with a balloon launch to symbolise everyone going back to their individual churches.
