AN ENTREPRENEUR from Worcestershire walked away with £50,000 after an impressive pitch in the Dragons' Den.

Adam Weaver, aged 30, appeared on the BBC show last night looking for an injection of cash into his Pershore-based company, proppa.com.

Mr Weaver, of Church Lench, Evesham, was looking for £50,000 for a five per cent stake in his businesses which sells vehicle accessories.

Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis said they were “out” after being unconvinced by the figures but Duncan Bannatyne and Peter Jones were quick to offer the full amount.

However, Duncan Bannatyne was after a 20 per cent cut and Peter Jones attempted to woo Mr Weaver with his online expertise before asking for 25 per cent of the business.

After a nervy stand-off and a further pitch from Peter Jones about his “global success in 44 countries”, Mr Weaver casually walked over and shook Duncan Bannatyne’s hand.

The move brought fits of laughter from the other Dragon’s.

“There wasn’t a polite way of doing it really,” Mr Weaver chuckled.
