PEOPLE from Herefordshire and Worcestershire are being encouraged to get into the groove with Dancing for the Games.
The nationwide dance project inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games is being unveiled this Saturday.
A total of £2 million is being invested into the two-year scheme and it is estimated that about 164,000 people will be given new opportunities to take part between now and 2012.
Local dance agency Dancefest, which holds classes and workshops throughout the two counties, has been commissioned to create a piece called 12, while the Rosie Kay Dance Company will arrange a project along the 16-mile Kidderminster to Bridgnorth Severn Valley Railway line.
