Artificial surface is boon for Droitwich Spa Cricket Club

A new £7,600 artificial wicket has been laid at Droitwich Spa Cricket Club.

The Droitwich Spa Area Partnership Fund, Community Leadership for Health Fund and the Chance to Shine Fund all contributed cash for the wicket. It will be used by the club’s youth section for training sessions and matches.

Club chairman Mike Wallis said: “This will encourage more people to use cricket to improve their health and wellbeing.”
