WORK to repair a crumbling retaining wall has finished on time.
The London Road retaining wall has been partially rebuilt and Victorian brickwork repointed after weeks of engineering work.
Work was started after a legal dispute between residents of St Catherine’s Hill and Worcestershire County Council over who was responsible for any repairs.
The council eventually accepted responsibility and started work in July, finishing on Friday, September 17.
Councillor Derek Prodger, county transport chief, said: “I am most grateful to both the residents whose properties the wall fronts and the passing motorists for their forbearance during the investigations and works.”
Landscaping work and the planting of trees will start next month.
