A NEW guided walk offers visitors the chance to find out more about the trees native to our area.
Rod Pomery, retired Head Gardener for the National Trust, will lead a walk around the Hartlebury Castle estate where the county museum is based.
He will talk about the types of trees found in the area and the myths and folklore connected to them, including information on their medicinal properties, as part of the walk called woods of wisdom.
It is the last in an annual event of walks and talks organised by the county museum.
The walk will take place between 11am and 1pm on Sunday, October 3, followed be lunch in the museum café and a chance to look around the museum.
Tickets must be pre-booked by calling 01299 250416.
