PARENTS are being reminded to apply online for school places.
Children due to start a new high school next September will have until the end of October to make their application.
Worcestershire County Council is encouraging parents to continue to apply online after experiencing a significant increase in parents applying via its website, worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions Clive Evans, the council’s team manager for pupil admissions and transfers, said: "Over the last few years parents in Worcestershire have increasingly taken the opportunity to make their applications online, which is not only speedier, but available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is confidential and secure. Amendments can be made to the application right up until the closing date."
Parents have until Sunday, October 31 to submit an application high schools.
For primary, middle and first schools the closing date is January 15, 2011.
