FULL-TIME... Another below par performance by Worcester Warriors was rescued by Andy Goode's 88th-minute penalty as Doncaster suffered a harsh 30-28 defeat.

Replacement Andy Boyde scored the first try of the second-half, but Willie Walker cancelled it out.

However, Tristan Roberts' goal-kicking kept the visitors in touch.

Then, when Alex Crockett was yellow-carded for a cynical pull-back, Knights fought their way into a deserved lead through Matt Williams' well-taken score.

Jake Abbott handed the lead back to Warriors with a 77th-minute try, but an excellent penalty from out wide by Tristan Roberts looked to have sealed victory for the northerners.

However, eight minutes into injury-time, Warriors staged one last push and Goode was on hand to slot the simplest of kicks as Doncaster just failed to hold out.

HALF-TIME...

Warriors started the match brightly, impressing their class on to Doncaster.

The hosts took the lead through a stong Alex Crockett run down the touchline before the centre released Miles Benjamin for his fifth score of the season.

Andy Goode added the conversion, but has missed several other shots at goal that he'd usually snap up.

The England man did manage a penalty, before excellent handling by Kai Horstmann sent fellow back-rower Neil Best over.

Goode converted for a 17-0 lead, but the visitors fought back and were the better side in the latter stages of the first-half.

They pulled back a short-range try through captain Neil Cochrane, which fly-half Tristan Roberts converted to make it 17-7 at the break.
