AN entrepreneur from Worcester has admitted four counts of fraud relating to misusing client funds.

Brandon Weston attended Worcester Crown Court earlier today to face the charges, alongside co-accused Chris Williams.

Weston, who built up the award-winning Premier Places lettings agency, admitted two counts of committing fraud between January 2007 and February 2009 to make a gain for himself, making representations to The National Approved Letting Scheme which he knew to be untrue.

He also admitted two counts from April and July 2007 of dishonestly and intending to make a gain for himself by making a representation to The Dispute Service which he knew was, or might be, untrue by using Premier Places and holding tenancy deposits in a ring-fenced client account.

Weston, aged 41, of White Ladies Aston, near Worcester, alongside Williams, aged 46, of Church Lane, Whittington, near Worcester, both denied two counts of defrauding the Dispute Service between September 2006 and March 2009 over clients' deposits.

Williams also denied three further charges of making false representation to The National Approved Letting Scheme, and three further counts of dishonestly and intending to make a gain to himself by making representation to The National Approved Letting Scheme in February 2008 and February 2009.

• Weston sold Premier Places earlier this year to the firm's accountants and Williams is no longer a director of the company.
