BIG-hearted staff dressed as pink police officers to help raise thousands to fight breast cancer.

TNT Worcester employees, based at the Hartlebury Trading Estate, Hartlebury depot, near Kidderminster, helped raise more than £18,000 by taking part in the Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear it Pink Day.

TNT has supported the Breast Cancer Campaign since 2006, and this year’s fund-raising efforts by the depot and colleagues across the country have already topped last year’s previous best of £17,470 – despite the harsh economic climate.

In just five Wear it Pink days TNT has donated more than £75,000.

Adrian Avery, general manager at TNT Worcester, said: “Yet again our people have shown what kind, caring employees they are.

“Each year they really go the extra mile to help raise money for a fantastic cause and have a lot of fun in doing so.

“Everyone can be touched in some way by this dreadful disease, whether it be a mother, sister, daughter, wife, girlfriend, other family member, friend or work colleague – even men – so it is heartening to see so many of our staff taking part in the fund-raising drive.

“Whether they have given of their time or made a donation – no matter how small – they are to be applauded for their efforts.”

One of the most arresting sights was a posse of pretty in pink police officers who patrolled around TNT Express Services UK ready to feel the collar of any employee who did not enter into the spirit of the pink fund-raising.
