A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a stabbing which left a young woman in hospital.
Scott Smith of Carlisle Road, Worcester, was arrested at the scene of the attack in the early hours of Sunday, January 16.
The 21-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court earlier today where he was remanded in custody.
He will appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, January 24.
The 19-year-old woman, of Worcester, was stabbed several times in the head and neck and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
Suzanne Llewellyn, district crown prosecutor, said: “When I looked at the case against Mr Smith I was satisfied there was enough evidence to lay the charge against him.”
