THE sky is the limit at a kite flying festival.

Visitors to Croome Park, near Pershore, on Wednesday-Friday, August 23-25, can try their hand at making their own colourful kite and then fly it from Church Hill at the top of the 18th Century park.

On Wednesday, high-flier Philip Roberts, of Sycro Kites, will demonstrate his kite-flying skills and on Thursday, members of the Alcester and Worcestershire Kite-flyers will amaze all with their spectacular aerial creations.

Wendy Carter, Croome Park visitor services manager, said: "Church Hill is a perfect spot from which to fly kites in the park. There is plenty of open space and fantastic view across the park and to the Malvern Hills.

"Families can bring their own kites, have a go at making one or simply enjoy watching some take to the skies."

Croome Park is open 10am to 5.30pm and the kite-flying festival activities run between 11am and 4pm.

Children under 16 who take their own kite will get free admission, otherwise normal prices apply.
