FEARS are growing for a Worcester man missing on the highest mountain in the UK.
Hyder Ali Manir, 20, was last seen at 1,000ft on Ben Nevis in Scotland, wearing jeans and a navy jacket and is not equipped for hill walking or the overnight conditions.
A relative reported him missing at 6pm on Sunday after he failed to return.
The Coastguard helicopter, Lochaber Mountain Rescue, RAF Kinloss Mountain Rescue and RAF Valley Mountain Rescue Teams and Search and Rescue Dogs are assisting police with the search.
Conditions are deteriorating at higher levels and police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the man.
Police are appealing for anyone who has seen the walker to get in touch with police in Fort William or the Force Control Room on 01463 715555.
