A TEENAGER from Malvern bit a police officer’s leg before threatening to burn his house down and cut off his head.

Jack Legros, of Penny House, Guarlford, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.

Sarah Stock, prosecuting, said officers were called to Tramps nightclub in Angel Place, Worcester, in the early hours of Sunday, January 30, where Legros was involved in a dispute with doorstaff.

He had been out on the Saturday night celebrating his 18th birthday.

Mrs Stock said Legros had been ejected from the venue but was trying to get back in to get his jacket from the cloakroom.

Doorstaff told police he had kicked the door.

Officers told him to leave the area but Legros wanted to stay and confront the bouncers about his coat.

Legros was served with a Section 27 notice telling him to leave the area but rather than signing it, he scribbled over it with a pen before throwing it on to the floor.

He insulted an officer and said he was going to make a formal complaint against him.

Officers then attempted to arrest Legros for being drunk and disorderly but he resisted and they ended up grappling on the floor.

It was then he was seen biting the officer he had insulted on the knee.

Legros was taken to Worcester police station where he told officers he was going to “burn their houses down... and cut their heads off”.

Mark Lister, defending, said a full pre-sentence report was necessary for the court to understand Legos’ behaviour.

Chairman of the bench Michael Pilling told Legros to co-operate fully with the probation service in preparing the report and bailed him to reappear on Friday, March 4.

Mr Pilling said a community order would be considered to deal with anger management and drink issues.
