A LOCAL girl who is obsessed with Michael Jackson is appealing for a bedset to complete her collection.

Amber Curtis, aged 12, of Tintern Avenue, Worcester, has a love for the King of Pop to rival any fan.

Her mother Diane Tongue, 46, said: “Amber absolutely loves him.

“Everything she’s got has Michael Jackson on it – books, CDs, DVDs, T-shirts, posters, mugs, clocks; she even has the famous hat and glove.”

Ms Tongue said her daughter had overcome several health problems and her hobby had helped her cope.

“She has suffered from her condition since she was 10, and when she’s down, her obsession with Michael is a comfort,” she said.

Amber’s interest in the star’s music began after his death on June 25, 2009, when her mother, along with the TV and radio stations, played his songs excessively.

She said: “He’s a great artist and has done so much for the world, but gets little positive coverage in return.

“I want to remember him for the positives – his talent.

“His music really makes me feel better.”

The Bishop Perone High School pupil said that she wanted the next addition to her impressive collection to be a Michael Jackson bedset: “We have been looking for a long time, and have tried everywhere. It would be great if anyone out there could help me find one.”
