POLICE have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Evesham.
A 53-year-year-old man was found dead by officers at 10:45 on Sunday at a house in Brick Kiln Street.
A post mortem has taken place and formal identification of the body will take place in due course.
Temporary Detective Superintendent Paul Williamson is leading the investigation.
He said: “I would like to stress that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death but would like to appeal for witnesses who may have information that will assist with our enquiries.
“I would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard a disturbance or anything suspicious in the area between around midnight on Saturday (February 12) and 11am the following day (Sunday).”
Police arrested a female on suspicion of murder yesterday and she remains in custody at Worcester Police Station while enquiries continue.
