MORE than 700 bras have been added to a world record-breaking attempt.
Twelve volunteers managed to link the bras by their clasps in just one-and-a-half hours last Wednesday at the Pumphouse Environment Centre, Gheluvelt Park, in Worcester.
Eventually, they want to link a staggering 200,000 bras together and hope to raise thousands of pounds for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.
Organiser Karen Tomalin said: “We got quite a lot of interest from the general public coming into the Pumphouse to see what we were doing.
“It was a really good day, but we need plenty more of those if we are going to succeed.”
• The next bra chain linking event will be on Wednesday, March 2, between 10am and noon at the Pumphouse.
