A STUDENT from Pershore High School was awarded best speaker in a debating competition.
Charlotte Redgewell, aged 13, of Fladbury, was given the prize at the Taylor Trophy debating competition. Charlotte and Giles Grainger, aged 14, of Besford, represented their school at the competition at Bromsgrove School.
The pair debated against Warwick School with the motion ‘this house would ban cloning’ and convinced the audience to defeat it. Debators from Hereford Cathedral school won overall.
