FUND-RAISERS took part in a lifesaving activity evening in Worcester.
The Kick-a-thon, which raised more than £60 for the Droitwich Lifesaving Club, was held at Barbourne Sports Hall, Worcester College of Technology, on Wednesday, February 9.
Participants were taken through a basic warm-up and some practical drills.
Brian Williams, trainer and marketing and promotion officer at the lifesaving club, said: “It was a fun evening, and the money raised will go towards new equipment for the club.
“I taught the group some basic kicks, and put them through practical drills.
“These showed them how to control an emergency situation if they were a passer-by when someone collapses in the street, for example.”
The Droitwich Lifesaving Club is open to people aged 10 and over, and teaches people useful lifesaving skills.
