SIR – I would like to appeal to the council to reconsider finding a way to keep the Madhatters play centre in Worcester open.

At a time when children’s centres can expect funding cuts it would be ridiculous and negligent not to extend support to a popular service that entertains and helps hundreds of city families, the likes of which the council cannot provide themselves.

I would like to hear an explanation from the council before we lose a very useful, fun and friendly space in the city centre.
