BUDDING scientists at a Worcester school have been enjoying a special insight into the workings of local businesses.
Pupils at Gorse Hill County Primary School celebrated National Science and Engineering Week, which runs until Sunday, with a visit from staff at Lush cosmetics – who showed the children how to make bath bombs.
Later in the week, pupils will also meet scientists from Baxenden Chemicals – a global leader in polyurethane technology – and visit Clive’s Fruit Farm, after securing funding from the British Science Association.
The theme of the week was communication and will culminate in a trip to Worcester Museum, where pupils will explore how information is communicated in different ways.
