A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital this morning following a crash with a car.

The man, in his 20s, suffered abrasions to his legs and a suspected broken leg in the incident, which happened at the junction of Grasshopper Avenue and St. Peter’s Drive, shortly before 7.55am.

He was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and was taken to the A&E department of Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Two men who were in the car were checked over at the scene and found to be uninjured.

West Midlands Ambulance Service received a number of 999 calls and an incident support officer in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew attended the scene.
