VISITORS to the Jinney Ring Craft Centre, Hanbury, near Droitwich, can enjoy a garden sculpture trail this month.

More than 25 different sculptures devised by local artists and craftsmen will be displayed in the gardens surrounding the centre's duck ponds.

Amanda Sunter, one of the centre's owners, said: "This is the first of what we hope will become an annual event,"

"We have not only sourced most of the sculptures from the region, we have also had a very valuable contribution from talent on our doorstep."

Glass workers at the centre will be exhibiting works not seen before, while a garden designer who trades from the Jinney Ring has designed the layout of the trail and helped with landscaping.

"We are very fortunate to have such talent to support this event," added Mrs Sunter.

The sculpture trail can be viewed whenever the craft centre is open - from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday - until Sunday, September 17.

The sculptures are for sale but will remain in place for the duration of the exhibition.

Admission is free.
