A PARKED car which had to be tarmacked around by road workers has been moved.
The vehicle was on the front page of the Worcester News yesterday after causing headaches for engineers who were re-surfacing St George’s Square in Worcester.
Residents said the parked car did not belong to anyone living in the street, forcing the engineers to work around the vehicle.
The police and the county council had attempted to contact the registered keeper of the car.
However, it had gone by 9pm on Tuesday night and Worcestershire County Council’s road crew was able to get on with the job unimpeded.
A county council spokesman said: “The works will be finished on schedule.”
