A NEW guide that contains road safety information for all road users is currently being being distibuted.
Herefordshire Council, with the support of many local organisations and businesses, has launched a second edition of the Road Safety Guide for the county.
The guide includes information relevant to drivers, passengers, horse riders and pedestrians, by explaining how to use the different types of pedestrian crossings - for example - and the benefits of encouraging children to walk or cycle to school.
Coun Brian Wilcox, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "The number of people killed or seriously injured on Herefordshire's roads continues to fall. Our aim is to continue this trend. The booklet contains very useful messages not only for the people of Herefordshire but for our visitors, as part of this council's commitment to reduce the number of those killed and injured on our roads."
The guides can be picked up libraries, information shops, GP practices, hospitals, car and motorcycle dealerships and companies in the county.
