A TRAVELLER festival passed without incident – although it did not have the correct licences.
The Horsedrawn Camp was licensed to take place during last weekend in a field in Pinvin, but at the last minute moved to a field in nearby Naunton Beauchamp.
Another seemingly larger group of travellers set up on the original site for Light of Love – apparently a Christian event.
Those at the Horsedrawn Camp were served with a noise abatement notice by Wychavon District Council on Thursday, which allowed them to play music on Friday and Saturday but only under a certain decibel level.
The group continued to perform on Sunday.
Police confirmed they had not had any trouble, other than complaints about the noise.
A spokesman for the Horsedrawn Camp said: “We’ve done five events in two years in Worcestershire and Warwickshire, and we have never had the involvement of the emergency services.”
Jack Hegarty, managing director of Wychavon District Council, said: “We are very concerned this unauthorised event went ahead without a licence.”
